Wardrobe – Savannah Purcell

Savannah is one half of the Purcell sisters who setup the fashion label Hallican Boodie. She has established herself as a world-wide name, with her designs being worn by celebrities such as Kate Bosworth, Paris Hilton, Kimberly Stewart, Heidi Middleton, Deni Hines, Jennifer Hawkins and Tammin Sursok. Having her own label set up allows her to quickly create and produce quality apparel and teaming up with Amelia Gebler on this production will enable her to cross over into the film world.

Head of Music – Basil Hogios

Basil is an award-winning composer and sound designer who has worked in literary and musical theatre, dance and devised performance, film and installation. He has collaborated with some of Australia’s theatre greats on mainstage shows for Sydney Theatre Co, Melbourne Theatre Co, Company B, Bell Shakespeare, and Griffin. He received the Sydney Theatre Award for Best Score for the critically acclaimed ‘Three Furies’, (Sydney, Auckland, Perth and Adelaide Arts Festivals), directed by Jim Sharman and written by Stephen Sewell. He also composed and conducted live music for ‘Dream Masons’, a devised outdoor theatrical spectacle which opened Tasmania’s Ten Days on the Island. For the screen, he composed the score for the feature film ‘Romulus My Father’,for which he was nominated for an AFI and FCCA Award. A graduate of the AFTRS Screen Composing course, his orchestral score for the devised movement film ‘SUB’- was nominated for an APRA/AGSC award for Best Score for a Short Film and won the prestigious Directors Choice Gold Medal at the Park City Film Music Festival.

Production Designer – Marc Barold

Marc Barold has graduated from AFTRS in Art Direction and with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from UNSW. Marc has been the production designer on 40+ commercials for major brands world-wide. He has also designed numerous sets and props, including for the Sydney 2000 Olympics, Cirque du Soleil, New York Fashion Week and Euro Disney. He has taken the top gong for Sculptures by the Sea, two MTV best video clip awards, Dance Music Awards best video clip and an ARIA Best Music Clip award. His involvement in feature films includes ‘Sexy Beast’, ‘Dark City’, ‘Star Wars: Episode 2 – Attack of the Clones’, ‘West’, ‘Newcastle’ and ‘The Nothing Men’.

Director of Photography – Carl Robertson A.C.S.

Award winning cinematographer Carl Robertson has gained international recognition for his visually impressive photography. He has won over 60 Cinematography Awards, including 39 Awards from the Australian Cinematographers Society for artistic excellence in Film, Commercials, Music Videos and Documentary work. He also won the 2006 Kodak film school competition garnering the Best Cinematography Award in the Australasia region and was the runner up in the World region competition. Carl Robertson ACS started at Australian Broadcasting Corporation working firstly as a TV News cameraman. He then went on to photograph many international documentaries for the ABC following the similar career paths of Oscar winning cinematographers Dean Semler, ASC, ACS and John Seale ASC, ACS. In 2003 he left the ABC to pursue a Master’s Degree in Cinematography at the prestigious Australian Film, Television and Radio School garnering the highly esteemed Cinematographer of the year award upon graduation. He received his ACS accreditation in 2008 from the Australian Cinematographers Society and was the youngest to be given ACS Accreditation at the age of 30. Carl’s professional expertise is recognized and respected within the film industry. He approaches all projects with a level of commitment that accentuates his creativity and his capacity to connect with a story. Skilled in all camera formats, Carl is a perfectionist at heart, with a genuine passion for his craft. With an ability to contribute conceptually as well as visually, Carl is deeply dedicated to artistic excellence.

Producer – Dan Balcaban

Dan Balcaban has been working in the film & television industry as an actor/film maker for 7 years. Dan has extensive credentials in production, acting and directing. He has appeared in over 40 productions, including: commercials; short films; feature films and theatre productions, recently appearing in 'The 25th Reich', a WW2 action/adventure feature and 'Underbelly 3'. He is a seasoned producer and director, having taken the helm on various short films, some having screened in local and international festivals. Dan studied Acting and Directing at the Actors Centre in London and went on to learn all facets of filmmaking, while completing a Cert lV in Screen, for which he earned multiple distinctions.
